About

EK Duo is a Clogs’ offshoot featuring bassoonist Rachael Elliott and percussionist Thomas Kozumplik. The pair creates spacious sound-worlds colored by the steel drum, marimba, reedy bassoon, kalimba, electronics, and more.

Longtime collaborators in Clogs, Elliott and Kozumplik have performed on stages ranging from the Sydney Festival to BAM, from Big Ears to the Knitting Factory, from London Jazz Festival to Amoeba Music, and points between. With a shared passion for chamber music, improvisation, groove, and sound exploration, they are expanding the musical possibilities for this dynamic and expressive duo.
