Rachael Elliott (US), bassoon, is a founding member of Clogs and a chamber musician based in Burlington, Vermont. She also performs with Tuple bassoon duo, Heliand Trio and the Vermont Contemporary Music Ensemble. She hosts the annual Bassoon Project in Burlington, combining workshops and performance, with an ear toward new & modern repertoire.

This spring's project takes place March 28-29 in Burlington, VT

This year's guest artist is Janet Polk, Principal Bassoonist with the Vermont Symphony and Portland Symphony Orchestras, and bassoon teacher at Dartmouth College and the University of New Hampshire.

Ms. Polk presents workshops on Body Mapping for musicians and bassoon reedmaking and will perform solo & chamber music by Mozart, Prunty, Hindemith & Rzewski. Participants also play in the ever-popular ‘bassoon band.’

Education & Teaching
Rachael studied bassoon with Janet Polk and went on to earn performance degrees at Manhattan School of Music and Yale School of Music where she studied with Frank Morelli. She currently teaches at the University of Vermont, Middlebury College, and Kinhaven Music School.
